I got an email today saying one of our quantum papers is finally accepted for publication, with only a few small changes. And I like the reviews, too. It's that time of the year again. Getting up on time was hard, but it was worth it. I think I actually understood more of the talks this year than last year. I'm making progress! Three projects to work on over the summer. It seemed like a lot of work, but then I just sort of stumbled upon the exact thing the quantum guys needed to finish one of the papers.

Still, I should probably try to get up before noon even when I don't have to and stop wasting so much time looking at stuff online that I won't even remember tomorrow.

There's a workshop in France this summer that the quantum guys want me to attend. I've looked at the program and it's awesome. And there's a laboratory.

It's technically a part-time job. In the last five days I've had a total of no more than fifteen hours of sleep and two proper meals. No time for more. Winter surprised everyone today, like it does every year, and wrecked the Tricity's public transport. That's no excuse to take a break. I'm tired. The inevitable cold spared my vocal chords and attacked my nose instead. I couldn't breathe but I could speak. My talk went pretty well, all things considered. There wasn't much of a crowd, but two of the more famous professors seemed interested in my results.
